How are you going to approach this? The best approach to professional development is to learn on the job with plenty of opportunities for collaboration and individualized support, opportunities for active learning, sustained duration and coherence with student achievement goals. Professional development should be of high quality, sustained intensive classroom-focused and should not stop in a short-term workshop or conferences. The Guardian will be designed as an online Monitoring Tool to evaluate the impact and application of training gains of the participants in different learning and development activities in their respective schools and workplaces. Likewise, the tool intends to follow-up the operationalization of competencies gained from trainings in the conduct of collaborative activities and/ or in the performance of duties and responsibilities in schools and workplaces such as the Learning Action Cell sessions, Instructional Supervision, Coaching and Mentoring and other support activities. Furthermore, it will look into the preparation and implementation of Learning Action Cell Plans, Instructional Supervisory Plans, and Coaching and Mentoring Activities and processes. The tool will check the consideration in the plans of norms of conduct, indicative schedule and logistical support to ensure its sustainability. The Division Monitoring Team will be responsible to enforce among concerned personnel to accomplish “The Guardian” through an online link which will be disseminated through a memorandum. Likewise, feedback of the results of the monitoring will be consolidated by the respective District Supervisors and will be reported during the Division Monitoring, Evaluation and Adjustment (DMEA) every quarter.
